About the Book

A foreigner’s desire to achieve the American Dream gets tested as he travels with high hopes and great intentions from another country to plot foot on a soil that will make his dreams come true. As his ship sailed across many continents to finally arrive to the United States, his premeditated ideas of the country were dented by the uncharacteristic lifestyles which include drug dealing, drug addicts, pimps, prostitutes among many other outrageous behaviors.Indeed, his sheer emotion towards what he saw made him feel as if he was in a totally different place from the country he once thought was a place that dreams are made. He soon realized that his imaginations of a glamorous golden city, with beautiful people on horse-drawn carriages were becoming anything short of reality. After several weeks of exploring New York City, the curiosity of the lives of the estranged people and places that drew people from all walks of life to the Times Square area, slowly began to take effect on his very own conscience. What will become of this alien who has traveled all the way to the United States to achieve the American Dream? Will he continue to pursue what he came and hoped for or will his destiny be marked by the lives of people in this estrange city?
