About the Book

‘MOSHIACH!’–Music To My Ears is the outgrowth of Carolyn Vermes’ years of writing songs while absorbing the wisdom inherent in Chasidic teachings. It is a call for people of all faiths to prepare the heart and mind for the Era of Moshiach (Messiah) by doing acts of lovingkindness, which will cause evil to dissipate and peace and harmony to flourish. The lovely–often haunting– melodies that accompany the lyrics are notated for easy playing and singing.

About the Author

Carolyn Vermes was born in the Bronx, and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from New York University and Yeshiva University, respectively. She enjoys reading books on biblical topics, health, nutrition, mathematics and science. Her musical preferences include works by Beethoven and Verdi as well as classic songs of the American musical theatre. Carolyn and her husband, Rudy, a chemical engineer, live in New Jersey and have two children; Keith David Vermes is a talented guitarist, and Yitzchak Michoel Vermes received Rabbinic Ordination and leads a chasidic lifestyle with his wife, Chana, and their two young daughters, Luba Henya Feiga and Gabriella Tova.
