About the Author

Richard L. Byrnes is a lifelong Catholic who has respect for and lived a life of spiritual action that reflects the spirit of Vatican II. He lives with his wife Jessie in Whitehouse, New Jersey and is the father of three successful adult children. Now retired from forty years in public education, Richard is an adjunct professor at Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey. He has written an unpublished novel, Unfriendly Country, about the lives of a black and white family living in a northern city during a racial rebellion.
