About the Book

Kidnap, murder, uranium theft and intrigue confront Marin Sinclair on the Navajo Reservation, and only by escaping into the mountains can she hope to survive, finally confronting both danger and the guilt of her own past in the black depths of a deserted mine.

About the Author

Jan D. Payne lived in the Four Corners area of the Navajo Reservation, graduating from Shiprock High School before leaving the reservation for college and medical school, and tries to reflect in both her characters and settings the regard she feels for the country and the people of the Southwest. Married to a school principal, she currently lives and writes in Alaska, where she and her family have lived both on the mainland and on the Pribilof Aleut island of Saint Paul in the Bering Sea. She is working on a second suspense novel involving the characters introduced in “Rabbit Moon”, continuing the series with the book “Rabbit Hole”.
