About the Author

R. William Moore was born and raised in Ohio. He was educated at Miami of Ohio, Weber State, and Auburn University. He has been involved in aviation for 40+ years as a Pilot (Airplane & Helicopter), Navigator, Bombardier, Radar Operator, and Control Tower Operator. He spent several tours in SEA, where he flew 1000+ missions and was awarded 10 Distinguished Flying Crosses, a Bronze Star, 26 Air Medals, a Purple Heart, and numerous U.S. and foreign awards. Since SEA, he has flown support for numerous U.S. Government Agencies, including State, DEA, and other “alphabet” organizations. His work outside the lower forty-eight includes Alaska, Bahamas, Belize, Cambodia, Canada, England, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Laos, Nicaragua, Turkey, Thailand, and Vietnam. Along the way, he was honored to become a member of the American Legion, China Post 1, in exile from Shanghai, China; the Air Commando Association, in which he was further honored to be inducted into their Hall of Fame; and, last but not least, is awaiting being “wrecked” into La Societe Des 40/8. He currently lives in Guatemala where he keeps a bag packed at all times and is working on a follow-up novel.
