About the Book

Motivation to succeed many times comes from different circumstances. To Rick, his physical handicap was the driving source that helped him rise above what many would have thought impossible. Being born with a club foot did not stop him from reaching his dream of one day playing in the National Football League as his father had. Following his life step by step along the way to fulfill his dreams will be an inspiration to the reader, even though the reader may not be a football fan. The Christian content of this book is such that it will be a challenge to the reader.

About the Author

William Jefferson Taylor, name after his grand father, and was called Billy Jeff by his family and friends during his youth. He was born in Cherokee County Georgia. He attended public schools in Georgia. He graduated from Acworth High School, Acworth Georgia at 16 years old in 1944. He enlisted in the Navy at 17. Upon the return from the Navy he met and married his wife Eva Satterfield. At the age of 27 he answered the call from the Lord to preach the gospel and enter college to further his education. He received his theological training from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, graduating in 1966. In his first church the membership gave him the name, Preacher Bill. This name has followed him for over 50 years, as a pastor and evangelist.
