About the Book

Zeke Wappinger, a precocious, bright and adventurous almost seven-year-old boy, gets fed up with his workaholic and technology-obsessed parents and decides to hop a freight train in the middle of the night from his small hometown in New Mexico. He is immediately befriended by two hobos and goes on a life-changing journey. More life-changing, however, is the effect it has on his parents, his two adult hobo companions and the various people who get sucked into the vortex of his adventure. The Six-Year-Old Hobo is a story of relationships, redemption and fate and will appeal to readers of all ages.

About the Author

David Goodwin is a writer from western Massachusetts. The Six-Year-Old Hobo is his second novel, following on the heels of Slave Camp Nightclub, published in 2013. Having enjoyed an almost full career in natural resources, working at a town conservation agency for five years, at the University of Massachusetts for twenty and the Massachusetts Bureau of Forestry for nine, he hopes to transition into writing fiction full time and free up more time to pursue his other passion – cyclo-cross racing. He is currently working on his next novel, The Unintentional Eavesdropper, about a woman whose life is dramatically altered by the various snippets of conversations she accidentally overhears.
