About the Book

In all ugliness, beauty lies within, representing individuals like you and me, who are willing to look deep inside ourselves to admit the truth about the ugliness in us. Do not only admit it, but address it where it demonstrates strength and strong will to overcome life’s challenges without making excuses. Everyone knows that life can be unfair at times; the question is, during the midst of it, how are we going to react? Usually, in the face of adversity, one is defined in character. This book expresses a lot of heartache, as well as triumph. I am hoping that my readers will embrace the essence of its beauty although shown in darkness because all can relate. At some point or another, life has hit you with uncertainty; the fact that you are reading this book proves your triumph over life’s setbacks. I am proud of you. Within these pages, I have tried to reveal the reality of bondage in its true form then turned it around for beauty for the sole propose of saving other people’s lives through awareness. If I can turn ugliness into art through creative writing, then there are no limits to what you can do; just do humbly, and loveliness and grace will beseech you and everything you set your hearts to do in life will prosper.

About the Author

I was born on November 20, 1974. I was blessed with the gift of youth for all my life struggles. These are all my teen and young-adult writings, which were the antidotes that kept me going through life hardships. I am proud to announce that I have overcome thoughts dark shadows of evil through the power of Jehovah, my god. I believe in education, for it was a tool that helped me not to become a victim to property. I have, since my youth, obtained my associate’s and my bachelor’s in business administration in health services administration at Monroe College in the Bronx. I started my master’s degree in physiology online at Kaplan University only to transfer to Argosy University to pursue forensic physiology. I have about a year to a year and a half remaining in my studies. My passion is to obtain my PhD; I have worked in the field of substance abuse and acute mental health disorders, as well as domestic violence, for over six years. I have a hunger and thirst to help my fellow men because beauty is in everyone. My deliverance is in knowing that I am not perfect; therefore, I strive to be better than the day before. For if God intended for me to be perfect, I would be with him, but instead, he gave me to you, the people, as a gift to make this world a brighter place. So in return, I learn from you, making us all equals.
