About the Book

When asked what my book was about, I would almost instantly blurt out “self-help”; but as the book was coming to an end, I realized that the book was more than just a self-help book. This book is a product of the world and all the people in it. While writing, I knew I wanted to make people feel good about where they were in their lives and where they dream to be. And I believe I did that. This book takes the reader all over the place. African American history, people’s personal struggles, and just plain old encouragement will be discussed in this book. And I even take it a step further by sharing my personal struggles with everyone. This book should uplift all the readers, and I hope it does just that. So enjoy, and thank you for the support.

About the Author

Junior Stennett Jackson is currently attending Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. Junior’s aspiration is to be a public servant, and by doing that, he hopes to contribute to the bettering of the world. Junior was born in Paterson, New Jersey, on March 19, 1991, to Tonia Jackson and Stennett Donavon Woodfine. Stennett died on December 22, 1990, after suffering a complication from an operation he had. Junior’s mom was a single mother who worked and went back to school—all while raising a child with a disability. At the age of four, Junior was diagnosed with cancer in his left leg, and as a result, his left leg had to be amputated. But Junior’s lack of a leg has not stopped him. Junior played golf all four years of high school and picked up jogging as a hobby. Junior’s mom, Tonia, has always encouraged her son to be himself and to uplift others. Junior and his mom moved to Atlanta, Georgia, in 1999 and currently still reside in the Atlanta area. Junior was always a positive person, and growing up with a disability wasn’t as hard as people would think. Communicating and mingling with others was very easy, and Junior often enjoyed the spotlight. Junior has always had a craving to help others, and because of that, he dreams of one day being the president of the United States of America. Human interaction is something Junior has really valued in his life, and he believes that is what has made him so ambitious. Junior’s goal with this book is to get people talking again to one another because interpersonal communication is what Junior believes can and will restore the world.
