About the Book

Christie has brought to life a fun story that grew in her imagination about one of her nieces. Heather and her older sister, Lydia, have ridden since they were babies. Seeing the special bond Heather had with Ladybug and Sam, her first horses, gave Christie the idea for this book. Heather is grown now and continues to ride horses. She barrel races every chance she gets and she still loves to feel the wind in her hair.

About the Author

Christie Coffee Grant lives in Alabaster, Alabama with Larry, her husband of 28 years. They have one grown son. Christie grew up working in her family’s printing business, Coffee Printing Co., Inc., which was founded by her grandfather, Ted Coffee and carried on through her dad, Donnie, his twin, Ronnie and her brother, Donnie, Jr. Christie can’t remember NOT being able to read! She has been a voracious reader all her life. Books transported her into different times, situations and worlds. She is hoping that through her writings she will be able to help children have the same magical experiences with books that she has had.
