About the Book
12-Step programs have given millions of people around the world a new lease on life. My poetry of recovery tells what it was like, what happened and what it’s like today for me. If you are in recovery I am sure that you will find a lot here to relate with and perhaps even some hope for your own recovery. Others delve into what I have received because of my own recovery. A Higher Power, who I choose to call God through the person of Jesus Christ, Spirituality, Family, Nature, and People.

About the Author
Herb D., Has been clean and sober and active in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous since August 3rd, 1984. Authored several newsletters. Also being ordained as a Pastor in the Christian faith founded The Journey Ministries, guiding groups of people through the 12 Steps of Recovery based on Biblical teachings. He loves hiking and backpacking in the Sierra Nevada’s, Yosemite National Park, and camping under the Giant Redwood Sequoias.
