About the Author

Thomas Christopher Mirc was born in Anchorage, Alaska in 1980. He attended Madison High School in Virginia, where he received the 1997-98 National Council of Teachers of English “Excellence in Writing” award for his piece “Indian Time”. After graduating in 1998, he attended Oklahoma State University for two years before transferring to Virginia Commonwealth University from where he graduated in 2002. He is currently working on a sequel to Difficult Run. In the meantime, he manages a scholarship fund, and aims for it to become one of the most generous essay awards available.
