About the Book
Abandoned by his father on a snowy Christmas Eve twenty five years ago, Roger Christian battles a lifetime of hatred and guilt when a holiday car crash brings him face to face with the stranger he once knew as “Daddy.” Suddenly thrust back into the life of the man he loved and lost so long ago, Roger hopes to confront his father, only to find the withered man near death and waiting for the live-saving miracle that just walked through his hospital room door -- Roger.
While Roger battles demons of guilt, anger and resentment he’s managed to keep alive for more than two decades, his wife is rushed to the same hospital after going into premature labor with their first child -- a son. In a tearful night of resurrection, birth, forgiveness and anger, Roger fights to become a father for the first time, and to become a son once for the first time since that painful Christmas so long ago.
