About the Book

Callie and Brad Baker experience the happiness along with the conflicts of a young married couple. When they and their friends meet for the first time at New Salem State Park, they have no idea of the adventures ahead of them. They begin their lives together in Chicago where Callie finally blooms into a young married woman rather than the insecure girl she once was. Brad’s job leads them into even more interesting experiences as they head west along with Patches, a new addition to their family. They make friends along the way who play important roles in their lives.

About the Author

Penny Springer-Miller, (born Betty Lou Tozer, of Decatur, Illinois), and her husband, Leo, in Virden, IL. This second novel “Broken Triangle” will be followed next year by the final novel of the trilogy. Patches, the cat in her books, was her friend, companion and sidekick. Penny, now 77, says they grew old together. Patches died last year at the age of twenty-five years and two days. She is sorely missed, but will continue as a character in the last book. Patches will then be featured in a book entitled “Patches, and the Other Side of the Door.”
