About the Book

The New Minister is the story of a young minister’s loss of faith in the face of personal tragedy, and his regaining it as he seeks to rebuild his new life on the foundation of the old.

The Devil’s Booth is the story of a murder trial. It is a matter of perspective, as each of the participants views the same event in a different way.

About the Author

Clara Stevenson is a graduate of Peirce Business College in Philadelphia and for a time was employed by the Presbyterian Board of Christian Education. Later, she was the Home Service Director of the Gloucester County New Jersey Chapter of the American Red Cross before working for several years at the General Offices of the Campbell Soup Company in Camden, NJ. Her own dream, long-deferred, was to write. She lives in southern New Jersey as she always has and is the author of The New Minister; The Devil’s Booth; Bits and Pieces; and Dreams and Desires as well as several children’s picture books including Osborne, the Literary Mouse.
