About the Book

Lehloni and her bondmate, the sentient unicorn N'edar, are innocently caught up in a web of intrigue.   Cast from their home on a false accusation, they must risk their lives to save a people, sworn to kill them.

Lehloni's mentor loses her life delivering a warning and helping the unjustly accused bondmates.  Overwhelmed with grief, sorrow and betrayal the bondmates leave their home.  A violent spring twister literally deposits the Morphan, Enky in their path.    The Morphan, hunted nearly to extinction because of a rare quality in their blood, is leary of humans, but finds Lehloni to be different.

Lehloni and N'edar suddenly 'feel' the death (telepathically) of all those they left behind,  N'edar journeys to his secret homeland alone and discovers his ancestry carries more than a 'passing interest' in the affairs of humans.  His bond with Lehloni becomes a vital link to the future of both races and the entire world of Enkar.

Enkira re-locates her lost traveling companion, a fascinating wielder of the Power, Cagin.  He is captivated by the brave plainswoman.  Cagin, an outcast in his own way, is searching for something beyond what he has.  Inner anger limits him in ways he never dreamed.

The heroes of Enkar learn love is able to look beyond what one sees...and see what one can become.
