About the Book
Donald and Joan Winter have a house, two young children, and two cars. Yet they find very little to talk about. Time and the pressures of modern-day life have eroded their ability to communicate with each other. They are no longer a loving and sensitive couple. They have become virtual strangers.
When Donald goes on a business trip and has a fling with Janet, a stewardess, he begins to question his commitment to Joan. Janets sexuality awakens in Don desires he thought would never again be gratified.
Is a moribund sex-life a reason for abandoning a marriage?
A visit to a marriage counselor brings the torment of a love-lost marriage to a head, as Donald and Joan attempt to learn what it takes to make a marriage a success.
