About the Book
The author’s intention is to dispel the conventional wisdom that events subsequent to the 1960s were in fact caused by experiences in the 60s. The causes and roots of events during that eventful decade took place hundreds of years before and continue to this day.
During the 60s, there were 227 Roman Catholic churches in the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens, and 249 educational institutions serving 1,000,000 Catholics. Schools enrolled 234,000 students with 6586 teachers. This story reflects a microcosm of these statistics.
About the Author
The author is a former Roman Catholic priest who had the good fortune to work during a part of the 1960s in Brooklyn, New York. After his resignation from the priesthood, he has engaged in various employment endeavors and is presently semi-retired and lives with his wife Eleanor.
