About the Book

Hidden within the spiritual heart of Christianity, as in many great religious faiths, lies a secret.  Long ago it was known, taught, and died for, but it became forgotten, and few now have heard of it.  Those who have drawn closest to God, whom we call “holy”, have known the secret and tried to reveal it, often at a terrible cost.  They have said it was the key to life and the pathway to true healing and freedom.  The Lost Kingdom of God resurrects this forgotten knowledge, found in the sacred texts and in the lives and teachings of the holy.  It is a spiritual truth that one man called “The Kingdom of God.”

About the Author

William Stewart is a Washington, DC lawyer currently with the Justice Department. He is a former Army Ranger, engineer officer, and Defense policy analyst. A Dartmouth graduate, he studied theology at Georgetown University. In addition to The Journey to the Sea, he is the author of The Lost Kingdom of God, a work describing the spiritual journey and radically challenging the tenets of institutional Christianity. What is revealed through an investigation of sacred texts, modern scholarship, and the lives of holy persons is the original, powerful teaching of healing and liberation of that Faith. He lives in Falls Church, Virginia with his wife, step-daughter, and grandson.
