About the Book

Anita Gordon, the sole survivor of her family, made a one room walk-up in Chicago’s poorer neighborhood her home. She longed for the life her friend enjoyed now that she was settled in Amarillo, Texas. Her chance came when her employer decided to open a store there. After doing the research for him, he decided she should accompany his partner to get it started. It was a dream come true. She would be with her friend in the beautiful place she had talked about. After a long train ride, she surveyed her new home with pride, even though the rustic town was a far cry from the city streets, it fascinated her. Fresh air, sunshine and cowboys. A lot of cowboys. They all faded into her past when she met Rawley Henderson. She looked forward to the trips to his piece of land where he was going to build a log cabin. As their friendship progressed, so did his cabin. Their meeting ground was the Silverado, where they danced and fell in love.

Afraid she would be snatched by one of the other cowboys, he was frantic to get his cabin build. With the help of friends, the shell was up and he decided the wedding couldn’t wait. He wanted her tied to him and out of the reach of his buddies

About the Author

Gen Carter is a new author with nine novels to her credit. She has always been a compulsive reader and gained her first look into the world beyond by reading her father’s Western Novels and her mother’s Romance Magazines while herding cattle and sheep on the North Dakota prairie. Her works, built around that foundation, are structured by her life experiences that were shared by eleven siblings, a loving husband and her own eight children.
