About the Book
For those of us who have not prepared for it, retirement can be traumatic. Thirty-five or forty years of punching the clock come to a grinding halt. No more setting the alarm. No more demands on time and talents. No more promotions for work well done. No more meeting in the lounge for fellowship with coworkers. No more pride in accomplishments. No more looking forward to a weekly or monthly pay check.
After a few weeks or months of whatever we had dreamed of doing, we may well succumb to the over-the-hill syndrome, sit back, and die in the shell. This book is designed to offer an alternative.
