About the Book

Adam Yahuma, an Ibo tribesman from the oil fields of the Niger Delta, has returned from the United States to fight for his homeland, now The Republic of Biafra. With him is new love, Nydia Kurtyka, a Red Cross volunteer from London. The world they entered is one of nightmarish horror where hundreds die of starvation daily, where bandits and rogue soldiers terrorize the countryside. Adam becomes an army hero, but as the situation worsens, his only desire is to end the war. In a final, desperate attempt to do so, he and Nydia are marked for immediate execution.

About the Author

Rod Frye was born in North Carolina and moved to Newport News, Va. at an early age. He began self-publishing in the third grade when his teacher gave him a used Hectograph. He published crude newsletters and cartoons. He graduated to publishing a slick-paper offset regional magazine and a special interest magazine. He first heard of the war and suffering in Biafra from the daily newspapers and was moved to write a fictional account of the war to protest the blockade and the starvation. He has attempted to present a fair view of both sides of the conflict.
