About the Book

When Nikki Banner rescues Cassie, who is eight years old but only twelve inches tall, she has no idea that this tiny girl will lead her on a huge adventure. Nikki and her mother bring Cassie back to her village, Eridanus. In this miniature land tucked into a hillside, all the people are twelve inches tall, and they are all named after constellations.

The people of Eridanus have been searching the night sky for signs of their sister planet. They think that the sister planet is a twin of Earth. And they’re hoping that the people on their sister planet will mirror their own small size. Things start out well enough when the villagers of Eridanus help rescue Nikki’s father, a missing airplane pilot. Once the Banner family is reunited, they join their friends from Eridanus in their quest for the sister planet. But Nikki’s group must watch out for the evil members of the Eridanus Astronomy Club. The clash between the members of the Astronomy Club and the Banners’ group leads to a startling twist. Nikki’s adventure leads to several discoveries—including friendship and faraway stars.
