My Journey

About the Book

Life to me is a journey through time. My Journey is a mixture of spiritual, love, emotions and inspirational poems. Poetry for me is a way to escape and for me to express myself. I never even knew I could write so creatively until I went through a painful relationship in 2003. Through that experience I have not let my pen drop. I started writing about real life situations, my past, present and my future but most of all God! I hope my poetry will touch people lives that will read and understand the struggles that people face everyday.

About the Author

Yolanda D. Johnson was born in Rochester, New York. Her mother Dorothy Gamble and step father Leroy Gamble raised, and encouraged her to read the Bible. Yolanda dedicated her life to the Lord at the age of twelve. She became a member of Mt Sinai Ministries under the leadership of Bishop James Hartsfield. She graduated high school in 1993 and college in 2003 with an Associate dergee in Business Administration. Through many trials and test in her life she began to write poetry. She enjoys reading the Bible, writing, drawing and shopping. Yolanda likes to sing and paln to someday record a gospel album.
