About the Book

About the Author

Elizabeth Jay has written poetry and short stories since she was a child. Only recently did she move into the arena of publishing. She is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee and is now a fifteen-year ‘native’ of Beaufort, South Carolina. She has volunteered prodigiously in Beaufort and in its surrounds. A long time feminist, she helped empower a number of women’s goals. She worked as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor in Pottstown, Pennsylvania at the Pottstown Area Drug Rehab and at Creative hands, an out-patient clinic. Elizabeth consequently knows the tribulations and the joys of many women in our society. Her novel, Christ Amy Lowell takes its title from a poem by Amy Lowell. Elizabeth Jay knows how patterns can drag people toward their destructive behaviors and how frequently those patterns are emulated by others. As a result, Christ, Amy Lowell is truthful and knowledgeable, imaginative and compassionate and mainly a solid and thought-provoking story.
