About the Book

After leaving the USS Cavallaro APD 128, Marcos reported to his new assignment at the Administrative Building, US Naval Base, Treasure Island, California which is the headquarters for COMWESTSEAFRON – Commander, Western Sea Frontier. Immortally Roman II, The Russian Cold War Adventure continues as Marcos’s naval career is moving at a fast pace which is now centered on his new location in San Francisco on an island in the middle of its bay called Treasure Island. Marcos’s new assignment as Aid, to COMWESTSEAFRON now includes a new reality involving a significant number of interesting and interlocking military and political strategies revolving around the so-called American-Russian Cold War. Marcos also becomes aware that COMWESTSEAFRON reports directly to CNO and the Joint Chiefs, which Marcos recognizes as new doors of opportunity for him in terms of becoming an active player in the ongoing Cold War and in taking advantage of the Washington political relationship. Marcos also becomes exposed to the reality that the American political system has developed significant political and military weaknesses within the realm of implementing World Leadership and therefore has drifted into a new and undefined political dogma, which the media has chosen to call, The Post WWII Dangers of Peace Zone, which has resulted in a new world of apathy, indifference and incompetence. The one question Marcos is facing is; Can he recreate the excitement of his Saigon adventure?
