About the Book

We return to Pilgrims Cove every summer. The first year we rented a house for two weeks and decided it was not long enough. The next year we stayed a month. The third year we bought a small cottage so we could spend summer and fall by the ocean. Edna Vandercamp was right. Simon was a treasure, a natural resource that belonged to Pilgrims Cove. Like many others, I miss him but do not question his decision. Edna was right about another thing too. If you leave Pilgrims Cove, you will return.

About the Author

Jon D. Matthews is an acclaimed writer now residing in Durhamshire, North Carolina. In this first novel, Jon displays his wonderful attunement with words, attained through many words with friends and encounters, to weave a tale of historic proportions. Jon is currently working on his second novella, an allegory of quantum physics where two places on the planet share the same name and transcend time and space.
