About the Book

Soul, Heart and Mind is a deep collection of poetry and expression ranging from the spiritual to the relational. About the Author

William Burnell Hobdy was born May 27, 1962 in Winnfield, Louisiana. He was one of two siblings born to the union of J.B. and Katherine Hobdy. Hobdy attended Grambling State University 1979-1983, receiving a degree in Computer Science. Houston, TX has been his home for the past 20 years, where he has worked in the aerospace industry during that time. Not only is poetry writing a passion, but so is music composition. Hobdy has composed many spiritual pieces, and some have been recorded by the group God’s Anointed Voices, where he worked as composer and vocalist. He also enjoys listening to all types of music, sports, and sharing with his family. Hobdy is very active in his church (Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Dickinson, TX), and strives for a greater spiritual devotion in his life. A divorcee, Hobdy is the father of two beautiful daughters – Ndia Arte’ and Kareese Lejae.
