Kale Mohr is twenty-six, confident and a successful copy editor of an up and coming literary magazine. Her life is non-complicated and isn’t plagued with situations that she can’t logically handle. There, she let out her real feelings, desires and the problems that interfered with her being just a regular girl. Her diary held her dreams of being popular and part of the in-crowd. You’ll learn about Celest, the flirtatious but naïve best friend of Kale. Kale always wanted to be like her best friend, envying her beauty, style and popularity. It would be Celest who Kale would model herself after, in order to gain popularity. Then there is Everett, Kale’s first love. She knew the minute that she kissed his lips that her life would never be the same. Brittany was Kale’s genius/gorgeous stepsister who had more to learn about life than Kale thought. Kale never knew someone she admired for being so “together” would come apart so easily. Lastly there’s Tim, with the green eyes. He changed Kale’s life and ultimately helped her find something inside her she didn’t even know she had. And there are other colorful people who fill the pages of Kale’s diary, and you get to read about them all and everything else that happened after Kale met a boy.

Crystal L. Winston has been writing since she was six years old. After I Met A Boy is her first published work. She started her own publishing company 1218 Works! And she is currently working on her sophomore novel. She currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago.
