About the Book

Designed to interest children of different ages, this book will grow along with the child for several years or be of special enjoyment to a family: one storytelling book for all. "Kiki´s Sunflower" will delight the youngest. Three year-old Kiki loves the sun and travels from Harlem where buildings hide the light to her grandparents’ sunflower farm in Michigan. "Ophi, the Snake" will appeal to the older child interested in science. Ophi lives with his parents under a big rock in the perennial garden. He grows from a little snake, no bigger than a light brown pencil, to a selfish, aggressive adolescent and finally into a loving snake who attracts Idia, his wise mate. "Magalee’s Diamonds" will enchant the growing child who imagines her own world. Magalee discovers a half buried diamond-shaped stone and secretly carries it in her pocket. She creates diamond drawings, knows the magic of night travel and lives within the mystery of the rainbow light.

About the Author

The author of seven books, including three novels in the Irish Trilogy, Steenie O’Shea, Aine’s Story and Niamh River, that takes place in Galway, Ireland, Mali Berger has also published short stories, a memoir and a book for children. In addition, she writes bi-monthly articles for the Arizona Authors Association. Mali taught American Literature in Michigan and Chinese Universities as well as The Dalton School in Manhattan and presently balances life between New York City and Galway, Ireland with visits to Dublin. Her love for drama and the theater as well as bundles of books from Kennys Book Shop in Galway are mirrored in her stories.
