About the Book
Letters Home is a fictional account of September 11, 2001, told in a series of letters from beyond, written by the victims. These letters are celebrations of life, from people who lost theirs. They tell the inside story of that day to families, friends, heroes and even to the bad guys. Some letters are harrowing. Some are funny. Many are both. Together they take a story of incomprehensible horror and find in it, rising up truly from the ashes, a tale of unimaginable hope. These are the Letters Home.
About the Author
Greg Bass did not go looking for these stories. They literally woke him up like a flash of light in the middle of the night. He says: “I’m really one of the last people you’d expect to be picked for this job. But these stories were there waiting for me, fully formed, almost like I was taking dictation. You’d have to be crazy to claim God as your writing partner, so I’ll say this instead: this may be a work of fiction, but the people in these stories are very real, and they have a message for all of us.
