Terrorists plan to use the trucking industry to carry out a series of devastating attacks across the United States. Using loopholes in the international shipping arena, they import radioactive materials and toxic nerve agents which are loaded into bomb laden tractor-trailer rigs. A local detective stumbles into the plot and with the help of a disgraced FBI agent they work together to save the day.
About the Author
Greg Smith was born in Marietta, GA, but grew up in the Pacific Northwest. He served as an Air Force officer, in the area of Force Command and Control and remains an active Air Force reservist. After leaving active service, Greg worked in the transportation industry for a major truckload carrier as a driver manager, team leader, and later as the regional manger for driver recruiting in the Southwest US. After moving to the Dallas area, Greg became a consultant, working in the education and training world for telecommunications, insurance and the financial industry. He has been adjunct faculty at several community colleges in the area, teaching students computer-related and web-based technologies. Greg is also a certified motorcycle safety instructor, avid motorcyclist and licensed private pilot. He is a contributor to several motorcycle journals, and currently works as a project manager in a major telecommunications firm in the Dallas area. Greg lives in Garland with his wife of sixteen years and their four big dogs.
