William and Miles Rabun visit their grandmother every summer for fun and family time. The summer of 2006, however, was significantly different from others — it was the time when these precocious youngsters wrote a fun-filled tale about their grandmother’s backyard, and turned it into their very first published book, My Grandma´s Backyard.

My Grandma’s Backyard explores the many favorite things that William and Miles enjoy doing in their grandmother’s backyard — like skipping rocks, identifying plants, and reciting poems, or making up skits. With colorful illustrations by Atlanta illustrator, Tony Moore, My Grandma´s Backyard, highlights a running water pond adorned with frogs and turtles. My Grandma´s Backyard also includes a fun activity section for kids to explore and talk about their own adventures. It even has vocabulary words, reading comprehension exercises, and games with an answer key. About the Author

Miles Larone Rabun, seven years old, and his brother William Brooks Rabun, five years old, reside in Wake Forest, North Carolina with their parents. Each summer and on any given holiday they look forward to visiting their grandmother and of course her backyard! The boys have been writing stories and poems and attending theatre workshops to further their passion of telling stories in writing and sharing them on stage and film! This is the first of many more works to come!
