This book is the result of over 30 years of research. It is divided into two parts; Part I analysis the Bay of Pigs fiasco as a factor in the President’s mounting disfavor among certain elements of the intelligence community. Also, for the first time, it explores his mind and his decision-making process. Result: A political decision to scuttle the operation. About the Author
Dr. Durr is a retired US Army counterintelligence agent (1963-1973). Articles on intelligence matters have been published in journals such as The Intelligencer Journal of US Intelligence Studies and The Encyclopedia of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. He holds a BS degree in Criminology from the University of Tampa, a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Golden Gate University (San Francisco), and a Doctorate of Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He is a member of AFIO (Association of Foreign Intelligence Officers) and ACICV (Association of Counterintelligence Corps Veterans).
