About the Author Joan Bardeen lives in East Syracuse, New York with her husband Roger and their Yorkshire terror, Teddy. She has been employed by Syracuse University for more than twenty years. The love of their lives is located one hour north on Sandy Pond where they have a lake property. Currently renovations are being made to make this property livable year around like many in the surrounding area. They enjoy fishing, gardening, and boat trips on Lake Ontario and to Canada from this delightful location. Their remaining child, a daughter Kristen, is married to Lt Col Kevin D. Westley. They are presently stationed near Stuttgart, Germany. They live with our first grandson Brendan who is just the light of our lives. Needless to say we have become jet setters traveling Germany.
