About the Book

With the hustle and bustle of life there seems to be a shortage of personal communication. The times when mom or grandmother would tell you “don’t count your chickens before they hatch,” and how "closed mouths don´t get fed,". Mother would explain what it meant and why it was important not to do the things that would cause you unhealthy as well as unnecessary harm. This is simply a book for women to read to take back control of their lives, it implements and reinforces strategic power moves, all while being reminded of the things mother taught us, a tool to revert back to when experiencing real life situations that seem out of our control. We have gotten so engulfed into the shuffle of our own lives that we have forgotten the importance of what momma used to say. If You Knew Better, You Would Do Better: Handbook For Women is a book of hidden wisdom for women of all ages. “No matter what the weight on the scale in which you balance your life maybe, never be afraid to measure out failure, for failure is the mark that catapults success”. —Paris Drake

About the Author

Born on August 1, 1981 in St. Louis Missouri, Paris received her education at St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley, majoring in Information Systems. Paris has always had a love for music, writing and the arts. At age 15, Paris wrote and recorded her first song, that’s when her mother knew that her child had in incredible writing ability. Later on Paris went to record a full album in Harlem, New York. Being the youngest of two siblings and growing up in a single family home, Paris can attest to the perils that come along with single parent living, which inspired her book. Paris has been writing indirectly for several years so to write If You Knew Better, You Would Do Better was just simply long over due.
