About the Book

We start with the ordinary story of three everyday high school friends.
Ken, Amy, and Roger stand out only by helping each other and putting bullies in their place.
Then one night Ken is called out by the school’s top bully. Ken takes on the bully at a chemical plant during a thunder storm. During the fight that ensues, lightning ignites barrels of toxic waste. Noxious goo is sent flying everywhere - over everything and everyone. The next day continues on as normal until Ken and his friends develop super powers.
This new discovery starts out as a fun game, until their fun is cut short by others that have been affected by the chemical waste as well. These others start to cause damage and spread chaos throughout the city.
Now it seems, the three friends are the only ones who can stop them. But are they strong enough to face the danger to come? Do they have what it takes to be true super heroes? Only training, sharp wit, and the strength of their friendship will shine a light on this pandemonium.

About the Author

Born on the unique day of Friday the 13th, May of 1988, I have always been captivated by the thought of heroes. I'd watch the cartoon shows, read the comics, follow the movies. I'd draw them whenever I could, but I had never thought of writing about the ones that I'd create in my imagination until my Senior year of High School. My English teacher, who I will not name, inspired me with his lessons to finally start writing down some of my ideas. I continued on with my little jots and I got to the point were I just couldn't stop. I was too enveloped in my story that I did not want to stop until my story was complete. It grew into a dream to inspire others to follow their dreams, and to follow their heart. I think we can all be heroes no mater who you are or what you’re like.
