About the Book

Over 20 years ago, a fi re took most of my wri ngs away. All those sleepless nights at my table, burnt or given away. Since my loss, I have returned to build a new compila on of poems inspired by love. My pen does all the talking while I think back about the joys and pains that I’ve experienced. Love is a dangerous mystery I may never solve. This compila on refl ects the many areas of love that I’ve either won, earned, lost, hated or cherished. I am a lucky man to have experienced all, and now I pass it to you.

About the Author

Kirk Brooks Born March 3rd, 1965 in Toronto, Ontario. My parents’ names are Betrice and Melvin (Rodney my biological father gets a mention). I have three Brothers and two sisters Kevin, Wayne, Timmy, Brenda and Tracey. My children’s names are Nathaniel, Nayla and Xavier. I currently work and reside in Toronto, Ontario. I am involved in several businesses and have very few close friends. My passions are Hockey, Poker and writing. I hope to be remembered as a leader and trendsetter not a follower!
