About the Author

Elizabeth Olancin is a native New Yorker. She received her first master’s degree from Adelphi University in 1981 and received her second master’s degree from Queens College in 1985. She has developed numerous programs within her teaching career. Elizabeth has received grants for those programs from various sources within her district. Her accolades include Gifted Teacher of the Year, Teacher of the Year for Science and ESE, finalist for Teacher of the Year State Wide, and Who’s Who awards nationwide. She lives by the motto “We need to face life’s challenges with a smile on our faces and our heads held up high.”
