About the Book
It might be fitting to describe Joan L. R. FoleyÊs di “VERSE” thoughts as a compilation of contemplation. With her sixty reflections ranging from the natural beauty of fall foliage to the novelty of retirement, there seems to be something for everyone. Although a few poems are more serious or personal, most of them, as the titles are intended to suggest, provide a lighthearted look at everyday situations. Readers should find it rather easy to identify with driving in traffic, handling new technology, ordering a pizza or even wondering about an old flame. At the end of the book, along with two brief narratives, are MY PROMISE and A WORDÊS WORTH. These serve as JoanÊs special dedications to her parents.
