"Curiosity compels Jackson Witt. After overhearing a tantalizing cell phone conversation, he impulsively follows the trail, only to witness the brutal slaying of his mistress’s husband, a right wing, “hang-em-high” judge with a secret life. Given Jackson’s history with the wife and subway surveillance videos that place him at the scene of the crime, he quickly becomes the only “person of interest” in this citywide manhunt. Fortunately, he has two assets: the phone itself which was inadvertently left on the New York City train and a savvy reporter named Alba Gonzales who has a soft spot in her heart for Witt since their amorous college days. Jackson’s journey for exoneration involves burglaries, dead bodies, wiretapping, gay reconnaissance, creative press conferences, rekindled romance and some serendipitous good fortune. About the Author

John Nieman is a prolific and creative multi-tasker. His artwork has been exhibited in dozens of galleries throughout the world, including Florence, Hamburg, Montreal, Chaing Mai, Paris, Dublin, and Barcelona. He has been awarded many best of shows, and solo exhibitions on the theme of Art with a Story. His works of fiction include three crime novels, a volume of short stories, and two children’s books. The father of five, he resides in Dobbs Ferry, NY.
