About the Book

This book is about animal life in the Mesozoic era, from the Triassic period to the Cretaceous, from 245 to 65 million years ago. This book organizes information about individual dinosaur species into a series of profiles which are organized alphabetically. Information is provided on the genus name, species, meaning of name, name of discoverer, location of first discovery, and other facts of note. Illustrations are provided for every species, totaling 540 species in all. The reader will find this book informative and entertaining, suitable for all levels of expertise in paleontology.

About the Author

Aaron Levenberg is a high school senior. He was born on January 3, 1992, in New York City right across the street from the American Museum of Natural History. As a child Aaron spent his after-school time at the Museum, which accounts for his great enthusiasm for dinosaurs. He now lives in suburban New Jersey with his parents, two sisters and his Siberian husky Shadow. Besides dinosaurs, Aaron’s interests include dogs, animal life in general, and television shows about dinosaurs such as “Dinosaur King.”
