About the Book
This is a retold story with a new twist. In fact this story has been told and retold about a bejillion times.
One summer Nancy Jane plays outside and digs so much that her big sister tells her that if she keeps digging she might end up in Paris, France. One day Nancy Jane finds an earthworm crawling up out of one of her tunnels and thinks he must have come all the way from France. She names him Fefe and makes him her pet. Fefe and Nancy Jane have adventures playing in the dirt, but Fefe eats things that he shouldn’t and grows bigger and bigger, until one day he burps and gets small again. It’s funny and delightful from the point of view of a little girl who has no friends to play with.
