About the Book

Biography and Jazz music of William J Tennyson, Jr. (1923-1959), musician, singer and composer, affectionately called “Bill”.  The story is about the life and musical brilliance of a young black composer, born into a musical family in New Orlean’s. 

The theme is around jazz music, and Bill’s journey to New York City, establishing his 16-piece orchestra in Harlem. The book includes an introduction to Bill, his music, songs, lyrics and notes It also includes family to Bill and his tragic death.

This story is God sent. It is about a treasure of jazz music that had been hidden for many years and now recently discovered as a significant contribution to the history of jazz.

About the Author

Author Biography William K. Tennyson is an Architect, registered in the States of Georgia and New York. Born in Brooklyn, first son to William J. Tennyson in 1949, he currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He is author of “Recipe Collection of Mathilda Garrette Smith”, “Auto-Biography of William K.
