About the Book
Eugene the Selfish Shellfish tells the tale of a little shellfish on Friendship Island learning what it means to be selfish, what it looks like to be selfish and how it feels to be selfish. Through a series of encounters with his friends that can walk, swim fly and even crawl Eugene learns the pitfalls of selfishness. He is taught a very valuable life lesson that is sure to transform his life forever. In the end he finds that sharing is such a better way to live. He learns that life is so much sweeter when we learn to give. The book includes a glossary and a “Let’s Talk About It” section for parents and teachers to reinforce the lesson with their children.
About the Author
Mike is a native of Delaware where he grew up. He has lived the majority of his adult in Florida, North Carolina and Texas. Currently he resides in St. Petersburg, FL with his wife. He has served his community as a children’s pastor, pastor and martial arts instructor. He graduated cum laude from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He has a passion to invest in future generations by writing and illustrating children’s books that teach valuable life lessons. When not working or writing he spends his time with his wife Lorena, family and friends enjoying life along the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast. (111)
