This book deals with some of the most worrisome matters in the family today. Each chapter will encourage you to think and make decisions as you raise your children, their values and principles, to change the course of their lives. We trust God will fulfill our commitment with our family, and offer hope in this world of opportunities and cause a positive effect in your own life. This book is not dedicated exclusively to parents, but it is dedicated to those who would want to make something better of their lives and cultivate new hope for future generations.

About the Author

Daniel Oswaldo Beteta Castillo is a native of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. He is the tenth of his parents’ eleven children. Ever since he was young, he showed artistic and cultural talents. He was a public speaker during his adolescent years. He studied Accounting in the Western Commercial Sciences School in Quetzaltenango and Economics at the Dr. Mariano Galvez University of Guatemala. He earned a Master’s degree in Multicultural Education as well as a doctorate with an emphasis on leadership and missions at the Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for more than twenty-six years, and has served in different ministries. Daniel is married to his beloved wife, Ruth, and together they have three handsome sons: Daniel Oswaldo, Juan Alberto and Ronald Josué. God likewise gave them their beautiful daughter, Ana Ruth, all of whom reside in the United States. Daniel has written other books: Cuentos cortos de mi pueblo I, Estate quieto; Una nueva estrategia de misión para la iglesia loca; Cuentos cortos de mi pueblo II; Los tigres audaces; Almas en silencio and now this one, One Day at a Time, the English translation of Un día a la vez, in Spanish.
