About the Book
Being the youngest kid in the family can be lonely. Especially for Matthew. It seems his brothers and sister don’t have time for him anymore. After hearing his friends at school talk about how much fun having a dog is, he decides a dog is just what he needs. The problem is convincing his parents. One day while visiting his grandmother, he tells her how much he would love a dog. To his delight, his grandmother makes his dad promise to get him one. But weeks pass, and still no puppy. Will Matthew get a puppy, or will he stay lonely?
About the Author
Beverly Newman Haith has experienced a rich career empowering children through her many years as a teacher. She is currently a professor at a private college in the south. When she’s not writing, she’s most likely indulged in her other passions, like painting, gardening, and practicing yoga.
