About the Book

Through winter storms and turbulent situations, magical reality threads and beautifies the daily lives of mother Susan and daughter Olivia. While a Native American guide appears and remains close to Susan, Olivia’s imaginary friend materializes for her when she faces danger or tragedy. Yes, there is trouble. Olivia Olson, a biracial young girl, notices differences in herself. Why does she not look like her friends and the other Caucasian girls in her small Northern Minnesota hometown? At the same time, the widow of Olivia’s black Muslim biological father desires a meeting with Olivia and Susan. Susan complies and learns so much more about Olivia’s biological father and his family. Added to these challenges, a past widely broadcast abduction begins to recur in nightmares and flashbacks for Olivia. See what else transpires in the life of Olivia Olson.

About the Author

In Adonica’s fictional work My Olive Branch, we meet Susan and Olivia. My Olive Tree follows their lives a bit further. Look forward soon to The Root of the Olive Tree that will complete the trilogy with more tangled events of racial conflict and religious issues. Dr. Adonica Schultz Aune teaches online courses for American College of Norway and the University of North Dakota. Her main hobbies are writing and golf.
