About the Book
Dan is a high school student at the worst school in all of Los Angeles. When his family is put in harm’s way by a death threat from a Blood member named Michael, Dan is very scared. Soon Dan’s family gets killed and he has nowhere else to turn to but the Crips. They take him in and he becomes a criminal. Then one night while committing a crime, and officer gets killed and Dan is a suspect. Dan then reveals the real killer and at this revelation learns a shocking revelation of his own. Dan then starts over and finds religion and God, a girlfriend, a nice school and life is good. The story then escalates with a special ending.
About the Author
James Mitchum Oates was born Brian Steven Curtis on Oct. 19, 1975 in Chicago, IL. He moved to Kansas City, MO. with his father, mother, and two brothers when he was six years old. He graduated from Van Horn High School and then went to Penn Valley Community College. There he received his Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. He then went to Park University and received his Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice: Corrections. He is the author of three other books: Life 101 – A True Life Story, The Revolution, and With Cream Cheese Please. He is single with no children.
