About the Book

Kathryn Kurth Scudder has authored Everyday Prayers and More and Prayer Thoughts for Every Day. These books were published in 2014 and 2015. If you are looking for prayers that are original and not too complex, you should find these books helpful. In addition to Bible verses and prayers, this book, Prayers, People and Places, includes stories written by Kathryn and some of her friends. A special section is devoted to Kathryn’s late friend and former coworker Rosemarie Tyler who authored a number of prayers and devotional materials in her lifetime.

About the Author

Kathryn Kurth Scudder and her husband Kenneth E. Scudder lived much of their lives in the Detroit metropolitan area. They raised four children and have nine grandchildren. Kenneth passed away in 1993. Kathryn holds degrees from Hope College and Wayne State University. She retired from teaching after thirty years and then worked as a church administrative secretary for five years. However, she has fulfilled many church and other organizations’ volunteer positions in her retirement years. Kathryn believes in God’s promises of eternal life in heaven for all who believe.
